Himalayan Java Coffee From The Himalayas

I was never able to differentiate between the tastes of varieties of coffee. For me, it used to be either milk or black coffee. However, during summer I prefer Blended Mocha with a scoop of ice cream on top rather than whipped cream.

I had frequently visited Himalayan Java on Thamel, both, one above The North Face’s Showroom and another on the Mandala Street. Not only that I have been to most of the local coffee places.

Right after earthquake on April 25th 2015, my thought about Himalayan Java Coffee is completely changed. I feel like we were ignoring coffee from the Himalayas and need to write a blog about Himalayan Java – Coffee from the Himalayas.

It was on May 3rd 2015 right after 9 days from the first flinch of Nepal Earthquake 2015 I was wandering about the empty streets of Kathmandu. It looked like the life was slowly getting back to normal.

Most of the shops had reopened and I was on the boulevard of King’s Way. Since past nine days all the people who had survived the earthquake were depending on basic food. I’m not complaining cause’ I know still lots of people on Gorkha, Dhading, Nuwakot, Rasuwa and Sindupalchok are waiting for something to eat and place to sleep.

I was looking for some different food and drink to retreat me. Just next to mercantile plaza I spotted Wimpy | Fast Food Restaurant on King’s Way serving lots of People. My friend and I decided to give a try.

We ordered two each king size burger and blended mocha. There was no such effect of earthquakes on King’s Way (Durbar Marg). Blended Mocha was delivered like something different. It was too sour as we were about to finish.

Sorry Wimpy I don’t recommend your burger and blended mocha. I miss blended mocha from Himalayan Java. From there at an instance we rode to Tridevi Marg Thamel, parked scooter at Himalayan Bank. Himalayan Java seems to serve freshly brewed coffee now from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

I ordered blended mocha with a scoop of ice cream. My house is located just next to New Bus Station and I have no electricity since past 9 days. It’s very hard for Java to run power backup, I know that feel dear Java.

Please serve me a blended mocha with topping of whipped cream, Thank you! Mocha at Java is unmatched with any other mocha that is being served within entire Nepal. With some research over Internet below is short intro and availability of Himalayan Coffee.
