3, 2, 1 and jump! Bungee jump experience at The Last Resort, Nepal.
9th January 16, I made a jump from the suspension bridge over Bhotekoshi River. It was my first experience of bungee, however, last year I did Canyon Swing from the same bridge. Thanks to new technology of winch.
Last year, after the jump, I had to walk back up from the bank of Bhotekoshi River, which takes around forty complete minutes. That was a hard uphill climb. Also, fewer people were complaining to the management. The main issue was lack of drinking water. They were suggesting to the management to provide at least a bottle of mineral water. That makes sense, though.
Well, I was relating this with the new technology. Now you don’t need to walk back, they will pull you up. The slogan now is “Ride the buzz back up and jump again!”
I was well equipped with two GoPro and a video camera. The videographer was on the bridge with a video camcorder, while in each left and right hand I had a GoPro. Enjoy the videos. I had embedded all these videos here in the blog post. Also the pictures provided by The Last Resort Team. To be honest, I’m not happy with the picture quality.
Sales office of Bungy Nepal is located in the Mandala Street, Thamel. The place is also known as Sagarmatha Building. This is the one and only walking street in Thamel. I booked my trip five days prior to the departure date. Once you book the trip, you will be informed to be at the sales office by 5:45 AM, however they won’t depart until 6:15 AM. So no hurry, but soon!
With a stopover in the middle, it will take approximate four hours to reach the resort starting from Thamel. After a short safety briefing, you will be divided into different groups on the basis of weight. I was in the first group with weight ranging from 40 to 62 kilograms. I follow the rule of bungee, i.e. “Walk Like Penguin & Fly Like Bird”.
You can also watch the video before you place your order for your own video. Complementary t-shirt will be provided after you pay for the video. Cost is additional! There are three different cost categories for the jump.

You can do it too! Just don’t look under the bridge. This is only 160 m high jump and almost no restriction. Dare it, dream it and do it. Like a NIKE, just do it. Also, if you are in a group of fifteen peoples, you will get one complementary jump. For the rest, the price is the same no matter where, when and how you book it.
